The Battlefields Trust

The Trust was founded in the aftermath of the 'second Battle of Naseby' - the empassioned dispute over the M1-A1 Link Road, now the A14, which threatened the battlefield. The Trust works to defend Britain's battlefield heritage and has sustained the Naseby Project from the outset.

The Royal Armouries

The world's premier museum of arms and armaments, covering some 3,000 years, includes the Littlecote Collection of English Civil War weapons and armour. The Armouries' staff, likewise, includes leading experts in the field. These assets will be brought to bear on the development of the Naseby Battlefield Project.

The Sealed Knot

Founded by Brigadier Peter Young in 1968, the Sealed Knot is the largest of the 17th-century re-enactment societies. Its members have a practical understanding of their period both in terms of military matters and in the social conditions of the time. The Sealed Knot plays an active part in funding, fund-raising and offering living history and re-enactment displays in association with the Naseby Battlefield Project.

Supporters

The Naseby Battlefield Project enjoys the informal support and advice of the National Army Museum and of the English Civil War Society, as well as English Heritage and the Northamptonshire County Council.
