How You Can Help

There are three main ways in which you can help the Naseby Battlefield Project.

  • Visit the battlefield
  • Make a donation to funds
  • Lend your skill and experience

Visit the Battlefield

The purpose of the Project is to make it pleasant and rewarding to visit Naseby Battlefield, for leisure, education or whatever you wish to enjoy, the countryside, its history and its wildlife. We need your comments to help to improve and enhance the service given by the Project; both praise and criticism.

A guide to the battlefield can be found on the Battlefield Tour Page.

Make a Donation to funds

The work involves not just the installation of things, interpretation boards, parking places and so on but all the supporting activity that makes those possible. Postage stamps must be bought and telephone calls made at one extreme and land leases negotiated and contracted for at the other. So no contribution is too small or too large! A form can be downloaded from this site and remember, if you are a tax-payer, that Gift-Aid will add 28% to your donation from public funds there is a form for that, too.

Lend Your Skill and Experience

You may have skills and knowledge that can contribute to the development of the Project or the value visitors receive. Some we may already have, some we may not have thought of and some we may need to enlarge, so let us know by using the details provided on the contact us page, we may seek your immediate help or we may ask you to stand prepared to assist in the future.

Examples of the kind of help we forsee are:

  • Accompanying visiting parties to discuss with them
    • The wildlife
    • The military history
    • The social and land-use history
  • Giving talks to societies and schools
  • Fund-raising
  • Promoting the awareness of the battlefield and its relevance
  • Assisting in reaching minority audiences
