The Battlefields Trust: Dedicated to the preservation, interpretation and presentation of battlefield sites as educational and heritage resources
UK Battlefields Resource Centre: This website is being developed to provide information on fields of conflict throughout the United Kingdom. It is essential reading for anyone visiting a battlefield, an invaluable education resource and contains important information for those investigating or conserving battlefields. Included are maps, images, air photos, walking and driving tours, resources for teachers and much more.
The Royal Armouries: Britain's first museum has grown from its origins as the main royal and national arsenal at the Tower of London into a family of museums located throughout the United Kingdom and in North America. This family is home to the UK's national collection of arms and armour which includes the national collection of artillery at Fort Nelson.
The Sealed Knot: English Civil War Re-enactment. The Sealed Knot helps bring history alive every year at period houses throughout the country where you can talk to major historical figures, try out a few recipes, learn about the life of a soldier on the march and maybe even "take the King's shilling".

The English Civil War Society: The main aim of this Society is to stimulate interest in the authentic re-creation of seventeenth century military life and in so doing we endeavour to entertain and instruct both our own members and the general public. We do this by continually striving for historical authenticity in our clothing, artifacts, methods, weapons and tactics.
The Seventeenth Century Society: The Seventeenth Century Society is a group of enthusiastic individuals which recreates many aspects and levels of seventeenth century life and society.
The Pike & Shot Society: Founded in 1973, the Pike and Shot Society is an international organization that promotes interest in the warfare of the Early Modern Period, a time that saw radical change in the way in which wars were fought world-wide. Its main activity is the publication of its highly respected bi-monthly journal Arquebusier as well as specialist books, monographs and booklets.

The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB): The RSPB is a UK charity working to secure a healthy environment for birds and other wildlife, helping to create a better world for us all.
The British Trust for Conservation Volunteers: The charity was set up in 1959, and has a successful history of environmental conservation volunteering throughout the UK and around the world.
